    Yesterday, I visited Alamosa High School and met with Principal Andy Lavier for National Principal Shadowing Week. Thanks to Principal Lavier and all Colorado Principals who are working hard to provide our students with a quality education.

    Great news: The final bipartisan opioid package, which includes my to promote non-opioid treatments in emergency rooms, passed the Senate last night with a vote of 98-1. This package of bills will save countless lives. On to the President’s desk!

    Opioid abuse is a multifaceted issue and no one solution will fully solve the problem. Today, we passed a bipartisan package of bills, which included my ALTO Act, that offers multiple innovative solutions to stem the worst drug epidemic our nation has ever experienced.

    Had the chance to present w/the “E” Award for Exports- the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a contribution to the expansion of the nation’s exports. CMU was chosen for exporting education by increasing the # of international students.
