Building better border security is necessary to prevent narcoterrorism and influx of drugs and trafficked people. Immigrants that are legal don’t have to live in the shadows, further reducing coyotes’ power. It’s a national security issue AND a human rights issue.

Lets see Tom how many gun related deaths this year! Have you done anything about it? No you haven’t
-
Alcohol and tobacco are legal....IF we want to talk about what kills people. Medical mistakes kill 250 thousand or so...each year!

Pharma companies are the biggest drug slingers on earth. We all know that solidly half of all addicts started with legally prescribed opiods. Please do something about this. low level dealers are not the problem.

Why not kill them as Duarte is doing. Very American. I am kidding, but do happy to not have you as an politician in my country. Sorry for expressing my view

Your Norwegian opinion carries zero weight here, nor do we care what you think.

LOL Ahh, the Irish version of U.S. leftwing trolls. You have no clue who Sen. Cotton is. "Spineless", he is not. As for the Iran letter. It was an open letter to the public, co-signed by 45 other Senators who highly oppose the BAD "deal".
-
Obama decided to bypass Congressional approval which he should not have done. A 15 year "deal" with IRAN, largest sponsor of terrorism and human rights abusers was ONLY for show. Iran got a sweetheart deal, we got ZIP. Thank you, Sen. Cotton!
-
you are wrong about Iran. get some new sources or best, visit

No I'm not. How about YOU get some new sources??

We’ve had draconian laws forever and we hit a record high of more than 72,000 deaths per year. You think doing more of what we are already doing is going to work? Definition of insanity...

As long as we don't confuse marijuana with these dangerous, epidemic problem causing drugs, I'm down for it! The second you include it in the conversation, you lose me!

It's important to note that out of those 72,000 overdose deaths last year, marijuana is responsible for exactly zero in all of history.

The real problem is addiction, which won't be fixed by more laws. Legalization will enable better and wider treatment, while also taking the profit out of selling illegal drugs. If you really want to stop traffickers, that's the best way.
-
Yeah let’s just legalize heroin for everyone to slam in their veins.
-
Would you use heroin if it was legal? Most of us wouldn't. Look at Portugal as an example. Legality isn't a barrier for anyone who really wants it -- but it is a barrier to those who are addicted and want to seek treatment. And it keeps prices high, which traffickers love.
