  1. My breakthrough bipartisan ocean plastics bill, recently signed into law by Trump, is a beachhead. Bipartisan Senate work—even an EPW hearing—on next steps has already begun. We know far too little ab what this does in our human food chain, for instance.

  2. The only responsible & legally correct thing for the to do is to withdraw this scientifically unsupported proposed rule. This is another example of how this agency bows down to the industries it’s supposed to regulate.

  6. This excellent article is buttressed by an added point: the fossil fuel industry protects a massive subsidy ($700B/yr in U.S. per IMF). So there’s not a level economic field for ; they have to fight uphill against an entrenched incumbent.

  7. Happy talk is one thing. The test will be what he does about the 73-decision partisan romp his “Roberts 5” took the Court on, in service to big interests. That’s a little hard to explain as “balls and strikes.”

  8. Perhaps Roberts can then explain the 73 decisions in which he led the appointees to deliver 5-4 partisan victories serving powerful R interests. 73 is a lot. The pattern is damning. Talking about independence doesn’t cut it, not w that record.

  16. Add in Big Oil execs saying they support a price on carbon, while Big Oil spends millions to defeat the only carbon price on the ballot, and you see what I mean about lies. It’s like they’ve been lying and denying so long they can’t help themselves.
