  2. The GAO released a report showing the Department of Education has denied loan forgiveness to an alarming 99.6% of individuals who applied to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. This is deeply troubling and we’re calling on Betsy DeVos to release more information.

  5. Glad to see the Music Modernization Act signed into law. We fought to ensure that songwriters, artists, sound engineers and producers receive the royalties they’ve earned. The bill also gives full copyright protection for pre-1972 music without limiting public access.

  6. The United States can no longer remain silent in the face of such brazen human rights violations. Saudi Arabia was once one of our closest allies in the Middle East. I’m no longer sure that should be the case.

  7. If the White House continues to refuse to act, Congress must. The first step would be to reject a pending arms sale to the kingdom and suspend assistance to the Saudi-led war in Yemen. And we must seriously consider sanctions against anyone involved in Khashoggi’s disappearance.

  8. Saudi Arabia, despite initially stating it was not involved, may now claim that Khashoggi’s death was the result of an interrogation gone wrong. That explanation is hardly believable.

  9. The world has watched with disbelief as reports emerge about the apparent killing and dismemberment of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The United States must send a message that this killing will not go unpunished.

  19. If the government of Saudi Arabia is found to be complicit, the U.S. must halt all arms sales and end our support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. Saudi Arabia was once one of our closest allies in the Middle East, but I think now is the time to reevaluate that relationship.
