    In 1993 we extended a FICA tax tip credit to the food service industry which reduced tax burdens. It's time we do the same for the salon industry, where tips are also customary. I was pleased to hear what my legislation to do just this would mean for small businesses.

    I stopped by the Peoria County Jail to hear about the success of the Jobs Partnership re-entry program and the positive impact it is having on students in the program. They are doing important work to give inmates the necessary skills to reenter society with a purpose.
