    This morning, I met with Pueblo Governors Riley, Chavarria, Vigil, and Torres. I have enjoyed working with them over the years on tribal cultural heritage legislation issues. Our state has a unique heritage and it is my honor to work alongside these men to preserve it.

    I am excited to introduce a bill today which honors the 2,000 New Mexican servicemen who bravely faced unspeakable hardship in the Bataan Death March. This bill re-names a Las Cruces veterans clinic as the Las Cruces Bataan Memorial Clinic in memory of their service & sacrifice.
