    With winter weather on the way to the higher elevations later today and through the night here are some good tips if you have to be traveling. Delaying your travel (if possible) is always the best option.

    A Winter Weather Advisory from 5 PM Saturday to 5 PM Sunday. Plan on slippery road conditions. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches, with localized amounts up to 11 inches. Snow levels will start around 6500 feet and lower to around 5000 feet.

    Traveling on the I-17 this weekend? If so, be advised that a round of snow is forecast from late Saturday through Sunday afternoon. Accumulating snow is possible above 5000 feet. Expect traffic delays and remember to bring cell phone chargers, water, and snacks.

    335 PM (MST) - Here we go again, another winter storm is set to affect much of northern and central Arizona this weekend. Although higher snow levels are expected with this storm, the high country should expect snowfall and dangerous travel conditions by Saturday night.

    We encourage you to delay travel until the storm passes. If you decide to travel during a snowstorm, be prepared for delays and the possibility that you will spend extended time in winter conditions due to slowing and closures caused by the weather.
