Proud to honor principals in Minnesota & across the country with this bipartisan resolution. I have so much respect for the work principals do each day—principals wear many hats to ensure schools function as they should and help teachers give high-quality education for students.https://twitter.com/NAESP/status/1052981286015553537 …

The amount of $ that Minnesotans are paying for their Rx drugs is unsustainable & unfair. I recently introduced a bill to tackle prescription drug prices by increasing transparency & affordability, spurring innovation, & protecting competition. Glad to see the federal court ruled in favor of helping students who have been defrauded by for-profit colleges get the loan forgiveness they deserve. This is a major win for students and a huge blow to the for-profit industry.https://www.politico.com/story/2018/10/16/student-loans-devos-education-854541 …

Yesterday I stopped by a new child care center in Stewartville. Here’s an excerpt about the visit from KIMT. I recently introduced a child care bill which responds to many of the concerns I have heard from Minnesota child care providers and families.pic.twitter.com/emrdol0YcE

Yesterday I visited Anderson Farm near Cannon Falls & then talked with
@brownfield Ag about how increasing demand for farm products by allowing year-round sale of E-15 gasoline & getting a final#FarmBill over the finish line will help#MNAg. Minnesota educators are having to shell out their own money to help students—sometimes up to thousands of dollars. I firmly believe that our education system should work for all—including our teachers. We need to do more to help them.https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2018/10/15/minnesota-teachers-paying-classroom-school-supplies/ …

Too often, Minnesota families can't access quality, affordable child care. I’ve made it a top priority to fix this problem. Today I visited Sprouts Childcare and Early Education Center in Stewartville, which will help address a shortage of child care in the area.pic.twitter.com/QMxA29RDXy

Hello from Anderson farm in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. I told the Andersons that I’m going to push the Administration to follow through on its proposal to allow year-round sales of E-15 and that I’m pushing for negotiators to finalize the

Not everyone wants or needs to go to a four-year college. But everyone should be able to find a good-paying career. That’s why I fought to get my provisions to improve career and technical education included in a bipartisan bill that was signed into law.pic.twitter.com/lC5znvAjYQ

I’m pressing
@CDCgov to investigate a rare, polio-like disorder that is on the rise—multiple children in MN have been diagnosed with it. We need to determine the cause of the outbreak & the best course of treatment & prevention to keep families healthy.http://www.startribune.com/six-minnesota-kids-suffer-rare-polio-like-disorder/495281011 …Thanks. Every Minnesotan—& American—deserves fair pay & safe working conditions. I’m glad to hear of the tentative contract agreement btwn
@steelworkers & US Steel, which impacts Minntac in Mountain Iron & Keewatin Taconite. Now hoping for a fair agreement btwn ArcelorMittal & the USW.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo -
Imagine driving 50+ miles to take your kid to child care. Seems unbelievable, but I’ve heard from a Minnesotan who has to do that. After hearing from families, businesses & communities across MN, I intro'd a bill to address the child care shortage. Students should be able to access the mental health care they need. I’m glad the Pres will soon sign into law a package of bills to tackle the opioid crisis. Part of this package is a bipartisan bill that I co-wrote to ↑ access to mental health services in schools & communities.pic.twitter.com/t0tgKkhJ47

I know that times have been tough for our ag communities, & I’m working to help farmers in Minnesota and across the country. Today—on National Farmer’s Day—I want to extend a big thank you. Farmers in Minnesota feed families, bolster our economy, & bring pride to our state.
