    to last week when I stopped by the Mills County Veterans Fair. There are a lot of resources available to our veterans and putting them all in one place can help our veterans access them all. We have to repay the debt we owe our veterans every chance we get.

    I’m fighting with to make sure Iowans who are blind are able to afford access technology to help them live their lives as they want. Thanks to the National Federation of the Blind of Iowa for having me to give an update on our fight in Congress.

    Always an honor to attend the Walk for ALS each year. The large turnout this morning demonstrates there are a lot of people who care about finding treatments and cures, and caring for each other. I’ve been working to secure increases in research funding to combat ALS

    Made it to Meredith Corporation’s 17th annual Rebuilding Together workday. Partnering with Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Iowa, employees help repair homes and public spaces for people who would otherwise be unable to afford needed repairs.

    Enjoyed being with leaders in the manufacturing industry last night, as well as being able to honor ABI President Mike Ralston for winning the Larry Ebbers Award from the Iowa Association of Community College Trustees

    I met with the American Cancer Society Action Network and shared with them I successfully advocated for increased funding for the National Institutes of Health so we can research cures for all types of cancer

    Talked to some folks in Winterset this week and answered their questions. I travel to every county every month and held over 1,000 meetings with Iowans last year. Hoping to have even more this year!

    I joined the Practical Famers of Iowa to talk about how adding small grain crops to field rotations can help water quality and soil health. I've been working in Congress to pass legislation which will expand research and funding for projects to protect water quality soil health

    Great to speak with the folks at the Midwest Food Recover Summit in Des Moines yesterday. In the United States, 40% of our food is lost or wasted along the food supply chain while millions of Americans are hungry. We need to find ways to reduce loss and help those in need
