    This is far from the end and we need to keep up the international pressure. Congress did its part when we invoked Global Magnitsky Act for a presidential determination. Now President Trump must follow the law.

    We have proven that international pressure can succeed. Our united outrage clearly factored into the Saudi gov’s calculated admission The Global Magnitsky Act doesn’t have exceptions for accidents. Even if Khashoggi died because of an altercation, that’s no excuse for his murder

    A year ago we stopped Republicans from making these drastic cuts. Cutting Medicaid and Medicare is their M.O., and they will try to do it again. I will work to stop them every time.

    Cutting $1 TRILLION from Medicaid & BILLIONS from Medicare to help the top 1% is unconscionable. What a terrible deal for the middle class

    to when the Republicans tried to cut $473 billion from Medicare last year to offset tax cuts for the top 1%. We stopped this budget then, and I will stand strong against Republican Medicare cuts again and again.

    I tried to stop this! As you see from my tweet a year ago, Republicans wouldn't have it. And now McConnell says it out loud - he wants to target Social Security and Medicare to make up for massive deficits from his tax giveaway. Absolutely not. Not while I'm here, dammit.

    I just voted to stop future cuts to Medicare and Social Security that may be triggered by , but not surprisingly the Republicans rejected it. It's almost like they know those kind of painful cuts is exactly what their deficit will lead to.

    Look at this graphic I posted about a year ago. It's coming to fruition. McConnell said he needs to cut Social Security & Medicare to make up for deficits from his tax giveaway. Rest assured, I'm standing strong to defend these essential lifelines.

    The non-partisan now says the will blow an even bigger hole in the deficit than they thought. That means future Republicans will have to take even more out of Medicare, Social Security & Education to pay for it.
