  1. Just saw speak to a small group of Brooklyn Heights residents for over an hour, passionately and on her feet the whole time. This woman is a force to be reckoned with and she didn’t have to give her time to such a small group, but she clearly cares. Was very cool.

RM , , & are urging scrutiny of the new Inspector General. It's deeply concerning that as IG this Trump appointee could interfere with the multiple Zinke Investigations currently underway.

  3. Every day @HouseRepublicans make clear they are obsessed with rolling back the ACA and eliminating preexisting condition protections. Now, we are hearing Sen. McConnell talk about slashing Medicare and Social Security to finance their tax giveaways to big companies & the wealthy!

If the GOP wins Congress, we'll have a sequel to Groundhog Day. Instead of a TV weatherman discovering the meaning of life, a senator from Kentucky will take your health coverage... I would rather see the one about how Democrats are fighting .

Absolutely appalling that there have been two attacks on two Orthodox Jewish men in Brooklyn in two days. I urge the NYPD to swiftly investigate. These acts of hate have no place in our City!

The Trump Admin is set on deporting the daughter of a military family. Her fathers was deployed to Afghanistan and as a result they missed an immigration deadline. Now ICE is trying to deport her to Korea because of Trump's mass deportation agenda.

25 years since a weekend without a shooting in NYC! This is why we need new laws like my bill, the "Stopping the Iron Pipeline Act," which would stop the flow of illegal guns into our City and my bill to fund CDC research of gun violence!

It would be wholly unacceptable for Secretary Mnuchin to go to Riyadh given what's being currently investigated. His attendance sends entirely the wrong message.

Having seen the tragic result of FEMA's bungled response to Maria, we must keep a close eye and see that the federal response to Hurricane Michael is effective and efficient. We should never leave our fellow citizens behind following a storm.

I was deeply disturbed by reports that FEMA was removing generators from sites in Puerto Rico that still face power outages. That’s why I've sent a letter to probing for immediate answers. This cannot go under the radar!

20 years ago today, Matthew Shepard was horrifically killed for being gay. We still have so much work to do to protect the rights of people. One small step Congress can take is to pass my bill, the Hate Crimes Victim Assistance Act.
