    According to a new report, 20 percent of low-income people in non-Medicaid expansion states did not get needed medical care in the past 12 months due to cost. Expanding Medicaid is as much of a good deal for states as it is for patients.

    I will continue to oppose any funding for the border wall in Congress, which is opposed by a majority of Texans for good reason – it will harm our economy, our border communities, and our close ties with Mexico. We already have barriers and protection on our border.

    is a great bill that will help improve flood mitigation and water infrastructure projects targeting low-income communities. I'm thankful that language I worked on to give water systems more flexibility to restructure or consolidate was included in the final passage.

    99-1: Senate passes water infrastructure bill. Lee was only Senator to vote No. WRDA passed House by voice vote last month and now heads to White House.

    China stopped importing U.S. crude in September, and there's no telling when they will stop importing U.S. if this trade war goes on. A 10 percent tariff could potentially lead to a higher tariff and ultimately affect U.S. consumers and jobs.
