The Restore Our Parks Act is a big victory, but it isn't the only win today! We also advanced permanent reauthorization and full funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund. LWCF has protected public lands for more than 50 years – and now, it can do so for years to come.

Both of these bipartisan efforts will make sure we leave our public lands in pristine condition for our children, just as our parents did for us. These efforts may not break through some of the political noise, but that doesn’t make the work any less important.

There’s still a lot of work to be done, but today, we made some very positive steps, on a bipartisan basis, to help build a better world to leave for future generations. This is how it’s supposed to work.
