    I spent this morning at Denham Springs HS talking to a group of 10th graders in AP American Government. We discussed our nation's blueprint, the constitution, and how it has stood the test of time. It is imperative that students across our country understand how our govt works.

    After months of deliberation, hearings and investigations, today I voted to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to be the next Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court. He’s whip-smart. He believes that the role of a judge is to determine what the law is and not what the law ought to be.

    I had coffee this morning w/ Capitol Police officers to celebrate Coffee with a Cop Day. If you hate cops, just because they’re cops then the next time you get in trouble call a crackhead. They do great work, & I’m very thankful for their dedication to our security on the Hill.
