    Tax cuts do not pay for themselves. The GOP claim that their tax package would spur enough economic growth to make up for the cuts has always been false. Instead, the federal deficit reached $779 billion.

    You may recall that many Republicans said their tax cuts would "pay for themselves" through increased growth/revenues. In the first nine months, they are not -- by any measure.

    Navy veterans who served offshore during the Vietnam War are entitled to the same benefits as other veterans exposed to Agent Orange. We sent a letter to to ask the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act be brought for a committee and floor vote.
