    It’s on all of us to tone down the hateful, political rhetoric. We should debate the issues because more often than not, I think we’ll find we agree. But even when we disagree, we should try to understand the other side and work to find common ground.

  5. This change is long overdue & I have fought tirelessly for it since my first term in Congress. My legislation, which was signed into law, will help level the playing field & ensure rural areas are treated fairly when a disaster happens & help is needed.

  14. Glad to support the First Responders Ceremony in Decatur yesterday. I met Chris Moore at open office hours and he shared his passion of raising awareness for Slow Down Move Over, which helps protect our first responders on the road.

  15. This morning I met with Connie and John, and their friend Suzanne. They founded Marisa's Purpose to save others from experiencing what they did when they lost their daughter to an opioid overdose. We discussed ways we can work together to combat this epidemic.
