    I believe: Children should not be separated from parents. Opportunity should not depend on where you were born. Rights do not depend on zip code. Your future wealth should not be determined by your parents' wealth. Rule of law does not only apply to some.

    2 things Trump doesn't get here: 1) Congress, not the President, sets our foreign affairs budget (thankfully); 2) cutting off foreign aid will only worsen conditions that force refugees to flee This would matter if the President was interested in anything other than xenophobia.

    Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador were not able to do the job of stopping people from leaving their country and coming illegally to the U.S. We will now begin cutting off, or substantially reducing, the massive foreign aid routinely given to them.

    This won't make people disappear. But it will put them at risk of violence, of being denied appropriate care, housing, job training, or even nutrition. Gov't doesn’t have the right to define us. But gov't must protect us. All of us.

    I'm an American. I don't fear refugees and immigrants. I don't fear access to the voting booth. I don't fear hearing from women. I don't fear gender identity, religion, or ethnicity. But I do question those in power who tell us to fear those who aren't.

    All Republicans support people with pre-existing conditions, and if they don’t, they will after I speak to them. I am in total support. Also, Democrats will destroy your Medicare, and I will keep it healthy and well!

    Greater access to birth control - thanks in large part to the ACA - has dropped teen and unintended pregnancy rates to historic lows. Birth control is healthcare & I'm fighting for the ACA, Title X, and other programs that help women access it.

    How to scam the American people: 1) Claim tax cuts for the rich will lower the deficit 2) Pass tax cuts for the rich that actually raise the deficit w/out helping middle class 3) Use the deficit you created as an excuse to cut Medicare and Social Security benefits.
