Why are tax payers subsidizing for-profit corporations? Profits are supposedly to cover the risks of investment, but if the tax payers are the investors, shouldn't the tax payers keep the profits?

What is your live affair with taxpayer subsidized rural broadband? Possibly a personal investment? What about the free market. You Republicans want that for healthcare. Throwing us to the insurance co wolves and don’t care who dies.Your hypocrisy is showing.

Let’s also add that people with no healthcare are not going to use telehealthcare. You have made it clear you want less people with healthcare, especially low income individuals so why have internet for healthcare when you have no healthcare?
-
Dustin, no worries....you and I will soon be picking up the tab for people with no healthcare in VA -- Medicaid expansion, remember?
-
Yep and I’m happy for it. Tired of people walking around with the flu or breaking bones going to the ER and not paying ever and me footing the bill in the end with my premiums and higher hospital costs. Net, net I bet I save money with trips to doc for my type 1 diabetes.

No subsidized internet. If Comcast, Cox, Verizon thinks it profitable then they would invest and install themselves. The fact that tax payers have to pay means there is no profit, therefore this is subsidized internet. Plain and simple. We have ballooning deficits Mr spend!!!
