    Results from Monday's tornadoes confirmed 9 tornadoes produced by 6 different thunderstorms. The fist occurred in Mecklenburg around 1035 am. Chesterfield, Richmond and Henrico saw multiple tornados from 302 pm through 410 pm. For deals visit

    Due to severe weather across much of the East Coast and ongoing response efforts, the national emergency alert test has been postponed to the backup date of Oct. 3, 2018 at 2:18 PM EDT. If you have questions about the test, visit the FAQ at .

    Dan River as of 8 am Tuesday morning - NWS levels say the river is at 22.33 feet. It’s projected to crest at 25.5 feet later this afternoon.

    Traffic Alert : Rt. 15 (James Madison Hwy) is closed, south of Route 250, near Route 631 (Troy Rd.) due to a washout. crews are on scene. There is no ETA for reopening. Rt. 616 (Union Mills Rd.) is also closed btwn Rt. 15 and S Boston Rd./Rt. 600 due to a washout.
