    Violence has no place in our democracy. Regardless of our political beliefs, we must stand together to condemn these attempted acts of violence.

    The device sent to Time Warner Center was constructed with a pipe and wires, according to an NYPD source. Law enforcement authorities are treating the device as a real explosive. The device was discovered in the mailroom of Time Warner Center in New York.

    Today, I’m meeting with local seniors to talk retirement security. I’ll have to explain to them that after decades of hard work, wants to cut their Social Security & Medicare benefits & bury them under a wall of debt to pay for the billions in tax cuts for the 1%.

    The federal deficit ballooned to $779 billion in the just-ended fiscal year — a remarkable tide of red ink for a country not mired in recession or war.

    This doesn’t even make any sense. The whole point of our foreign assistance to Honduras is to address the root causes of migration—cutting it off would only lead to more migration.

    The United States has strongly informed the President of Honduras that if the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately!
