  1. I had the honor of meeting w/social studies students at Alma High today and answering their questions on current events. I also visited with principals from the district to commemorate National Principals Month. Thank you to principals across who do so much for our students!

  5. I joined for a tour of Barksdale Air Force Base today, headquarters of the Air Force Global Strike Command. We toured the Second Bomb Wing, the oldest in the Air Force. It consists of 44 B-52 Stratoforce bombers.

  6. This week is National Forest Products Week. Wood products provide us with shelter, household materials, and packaging that we use daily. The forest product industry employs nearly 25,000 people in Arkansas in 95 different manufacturing facilities.

  8. I spent the day with Shreveport-area . We first visited the Port of Caddo/Bossier and saw its success. I’m all, the port and the 17 businesses housed there employ 1,500 people. It is a success we should replicate further up the Red River...

  17. The last stop on the was Davis Pecans. The family business employs about 25 and harvests 1 million pounds of pecans yearly. It is one of the many aspects of ag in that may not be top of mind, but feeds families around the world w/high quality Arkansas pecans.

  18. The#AR04AgTour continues w/a roundtable discussion of the feral hog problem in Hempstead Co. Invasive species create problems which need to be addressed, but often the gov is part of the problem. This has been a very informative discussion that will continue.
