Between 1999 and 2017 the inflation rate was 47.1%. A worker in 2017 to have the same buying power as the 1999 worker an income of $89,253 would be needed. A $61,372 income in 1917 demonstrates how the average worker is getting left behind as massive wealth goes to the top 10%.

There you go again with the facts! It’s almost as if the GOP and
@RepMikeBishop@ElectMikeBishop is trying to pull the wool over our eyes for votes! Shocked, I tell you, shocked! -
Add Kevin Brady, TX-08, to your wooly list. Brady pretends to tell us the truth by pushing a fragment of info and then ignoring the unflattering rest. I will vote for change in Nov...straight Dem.

Why is our National Debt so massive? In 1980 a taxpayer earning $28,800. tax bracket was 44% and high earners, millionaires and billionaires tax bracket was 70%. Now, they pay 37%. Starting with Reagan, Republicans have radically cut taxes on those most able to pay = DEBT.

Brady is kind of cowardly. He has refused town halls for years and instead visits businesses and organizations he knows support him. I was at one of these meetings and saw Brady get a big surprise--people wanted to talk about healthcare! He became visibly upset and flustered.

According to the US dept of labor, wages increased 2.7% from July 2017-July 2018. In that same time span inflation was 2.9%. Telling us about wage growth but not the rest of the story is very dishonest. We've had a net negative wage growth.

That's horrible. And not worth the debt you caused by giving yourself and your donors a 1.5 trillion dollar tax cut. Wow. This is an abomination.

During 16 years of Democrat rule, Americans saw their wages shrink. We're finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

But by other measures, the economy is still not working as well as it could for everyone. Inequality remains near the highest levels in the modern era, according to various metrics the Census Bureau tracks, and the share of Americans without health insurance stalled last year...
