Politicians like you are part of the problem in DC. You're loyal to PARTY not the people that sent you there. #JudgeKavanaugh

Sasse’s priority isn’t party loyalty, it’s figuring out the best way to advance himself.
-
Is there something wrong with advancing yourself? (Asking for a friend.) How about an intelligent debate on the actual CONTENT of Sasse's statement, rather than the feeble-minded, snarky criticism of character? That would be refreshing.
-
Everything Sasse does is self-serving. That in partnership with his hypocrisy and disingenuousness make him disdainful. All he does is talk and then he falls right in line with Trump. It’s exhausting. He’s just creating ad clips for his next campaign.
-
Yes I totally agree. He's all Talk.
-
Not sure what you all expect him to do. The first weapon of defense is the spoken & written word. Common Sense. The Declaration of Independence. Uncle Tom's Cabin. The Emancipation Proclamation. I Have A Dream. Throughout history, words begin & shape the forces that create change
-
Action speaks. If he voted No that would mean something. This nominee is a corporatist and against women's rights.
-
Ben Sasse thinks women who are fighting for their basic fundamental rights are just being hysterical. He’s playing right into the age-old stereotype of the “hysterical woman” which is invoked by sexist men, any time a woman wants to have her voice heard or her rights respected.

The Senate GOP blew up the SCOTUS nomination process by refusing to give Merrick Garland a hearing and an up or down vote. McConnell promised EVERY judicial nominee an up or down vote in 2005. You reap what you sow

Hard to have trust when Garland was denied a hearing. Where were you?
-
Sasse was somewhere passing judgment and lecturing someone about morality.

But the documents should have been released. Why are you avoiding transparency - keeping papers in the dark is part of the circus
-
Over 300 judicial opinions. Read them.
-
For a Supreme Court justice with lifetime appointment the questions aren’t only on cases you like while avoiding q on opinions you want to hide.
-
1. The job of the Judiciary Committee is to ask questions. I'm pretty sure there will be questions about cases that lots of people don't like, including me. 2. The opinions a judge writes are both consenting and opposing, so there will be cases which all of us like or dislike.
-
There aren’t just questions about cases but his work when he was working for Bush, which concern several illegal activities.
