Trump must step down now and spare our people a drawn-out ordeal. President Richard Nixon stepped down for far less than what Mr. Trump has done. And if he won't leave, Speaker Ryan must call for his impeachment.

“It is Democrats, by passing the Affordable Care Act in 2010, who introduced meaningful protections for Americans with prior illnesses. And Republican officeholders have taken numerous actions that would tend to weaken those protections — in Congress, in states and in courts.”

Trump has given his administration a license to rip off American taxpayers. Special interests have been given unprecedented power, while Cabinet Secretaries abuse the trust taxpayers put in our government.

Congratulations to Eliana Fleischer for being a 2018 Congressional Award Bronze Medalist. Eliana started a nonprofit to collect orthopedic braces and redistribute them in developing countries. Well done!

In New Hampshire, most people will be able to sign up for a plan that costs $75 – $100. I encourage everyone to visit to see what’s available. You may even find a better plan than your current one.

The Care Act has changed people’s lives for the better. Health insurance has meant that more Americans can lead happy and healthier lives without the fear of bankruptcy or choosing between necessary expenses like food or rent and medical care if they get sick.

When I ran a social services agency before passed the , I used to have to tell clients that we couldn’t help them with some of their conditions because they didn’t have health insurance. It was heartbreaking, and many suffered without insurance.

I enjoyed speaking with UNH students in the Women and Politics class yesterday. I told them that women make up only 19% of the US House and only 300 have ever served, and that’s why we need more women to run for office. I encouraged the men and women to make their voices heard.

We must stand against hatred and those that incite it. All forms of Anti-Semitism are unacceptable, and these symbols have no place in our communities.

Deeply saddened by the horrific violence at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburg today, & I am grateful for the first responders who put themselves in harm’s way. My thoughts & prayers are with the victims & their families, the Jewish community, and the people of Pittsburgh.

It was great to see leaders from the New Hampshire Air National Guard and Army National Guard in DC yesterday. Thank you for all you do to keep us safe and protect our state and country.

I am thankful for the law enforcement officers who are investigating today's attacks on Democratic leaders and the press. Nasty rhetoric, false claims, and attacks on the press must stop. We're all Americans.

SB3 undermines our state’s reputation for holding free and fair elections, and it hurts our democracy. The court made the right decision.

SB3 is a bad law that would make it harder for Granite Staters to exercise their fundamental right to vote. My full statement on the NH Superior Court injunction:

It used to be much easier to exercise the fundamental right to vote in NH. Since '96, our state has dropped from 4th to 40th when it comes to how easy it is to vote. Congress should restore the protections of the Voting Rights Act.

Enjoyed touring Great Bay National Wildlife Refuge this morning with manager Bill Peterson and NH. Fish and Game. The Refuge protects Great Bay from Pease-era contaminants, supports wildlife, and welcomes visitors.

I will never stop fighting for LGBTQ communities. One of my proudest moments was helping to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and it’s been wonderful to see rights move forward the last decade. Now we need to protect progress made.

I signed a bipartisan letter today asking what the US knew about the Saudi plot to capture & kill Khashoggi. This murder cannot go unanswered. We must sanction Saudi Arabia and hold them responsible for their egregious human rights abuses.
