    And yes many move to Florida for the weather, but lots also move there to retire because it has no state income tax (see Paul LePage, STB ex gov of Maine). FL has plenty of Dems and indies but also lots of very conservative retirees, rural ppl & transplants like Donald Trump.

    Went to a Bat Mitzvah today, which was lovely. But as it was starting, the rabbi took time — in a very measured voice — to point out all the exits, including the emergency exits, so people would know how to leave the synagogue if necessary. That’s new.
