  1. Another victory on the NTD front. U.S. investment in global health makes a difference and I’m thrilled to see this continued progress!

  2. Democratic Sen. : If "Trump won't send a strong signal that the US still puts values, like protecting human rights and journalists, ahead of our interests such as arms deals with the Saudis, the Senate should step forward and do it."

  5. Today, Pastor Andrew Brunson was released by a Turkish court and is on his way back to the US. While it is appalling that Pastor Brunson was detained for two years in Turkey on unfounded charges, today I join with his family & people around the country to celebrate his freedom.

  9. Today, that’s going to change. The President just signed legislation I introduced with to fix this long-standing disparity. Listen to what Smokey Robinson had to say about this bill earlier this year:

  10. The music performed by pre-1972 artists is an important part of our shared cultural heritage. It’s the music many of us listened to growing up. It’s simply not fair that those legacy artists do not have to be compensated when Americans now listen to their music digitally.

  13. When a crisis like the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi occurs, we need American diplomats in key posts around the world to ensure the United States can respond quickly & effectively. Right now, though, the Trump Admin hasn’t even nominated ambassadors for Turkey or Saudi Arabia.

  15. We voted in the Senate today to ensure that Americans and Delawareans aren’t misled into buying “junk” insurance plans that don’t provide the care they need – but the Republican majority defeated the effort by ONE vote.

  16. These junk insurance plans: 1) Don’t have to cover pre-existing conditions 2) Can exclude maternity care, substance abuse treatment, prescription drug costs, and ER visits 3) Can charge older Americans more Does that sound like an improvement to our health care system?

  17. Let’s be clear: the Trump Admin’s latest effort to encourage Americans into “junk” insurance plans is a bad deal for consumers, and it hurts our overall health care system.

  18. Rather than focusing on how to give more Americans access to quality, affordable health insurance, the Trump Admin is focused solely on destroying the Affordable Care Act, and in the process, they’re stripping protections away from those who need health care the most.

Our latest actions have sent a signal to the world that the United States intends to remain on the sidelines while the rest of the world works to combat climate change. We must do better.
