Natural Disasters Qualifying for Advance on Docket (AOD)

The Board is making special provisions for Veterans impacted by natural disasters with appeals before the Board. Veterans can request an advancement on the docket (AOD) to accelerate their appeal. Additional instructions can be found on the Board’s Customer Service Page.

The following is a list of natural disasters, the locations qualifying and the period during which an appeal can be accelerated.

Alaskan Earthquake – Until May 31, 2019

Residents of the following Boroughs impacted by the earthquake can contact the Board to determine eligibility:

Anchorage (Municipality)
Kenai Peninsula (Borough)
Matanuska-Susitna (Borough)

Camp Fire (Butte County) or the Woolsey Fire (Los Angeles & Ventura Counties) – Until May 31, 2019
