Preparing PMAS Artifacts

 

Every VA App Project requires documents describing the developing and releasing of any VA software. We call these required documents PMAS artifacts. The Office of Information and Technology's (OI&T) Project Management Accountability System (PMAS) defines the required artifacts. VHA and OI&T's Product Development office are partnering with PMAS architects to design a PMAS process specifically for developing VA mobile and web applications. The Mobile App Environment (MAE) JIRA project management system parallels this VA App PMAS process. The partnership has identified a subset of all of the artifacts needed for enterprise-level software development. This subset continues to be refined and revised as the VA's App development process matures.
