Insurance is developing online training modules on several topics. Topics currently available are shown below. Check back often, as we will continue to add new topics.

Casualty Assistance/Human Resources Training

  • SGLI Online Enrollment System (SOES) Self-Service Training  - In this module, you will learn how to use SOES to make SGLI coverage elections and beneficiary changes (Download Adobe pdf version of SOES Self-Service Training).
  • For Coast Guard, NOAA, and Public Health Service...all Servicemembers should continue to use the SGLV 8286 until SOES has been implemented with your service.
  • Assisting Beneficiaries with Filing SGLI Claims - For Casualty Officers working with SGLI claimants.
  • Completing SGLV-8286 - In this module, you will learn about the proper way to complete the Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance Election and Certificate
    Note:  For Navy, Air Force, Army, and Marines...BIServicemembers with part-time SGLI should use the the SGLV 8286.   All other members should use SOES as directed by your uniformed service.   Online Training for SOES is located above.
