The FSA SDLC is a technology agnostic systems development lifecycle. Therefore the methodology and standards (as captured in the Information Bulletins) apply to all platforms and systems, including the mainframe and System 36. However, FSA has created supplementary documentation to capture specific guidance for these platforms. 

FSA NITC Mainframe SDLC 

The FSA NITC Mainframe SDLC supplements the FSA SDLC to further define the standards and procedures for developing mainframe computer systems. This new standard replaces the former FSA Handbook 14-ADM, ADP Standards and Procedures for Development of Computer Systems. 14-ADM is now obsolete. 

On June 22, 2006, the release of the FSA NITC Mainframe SDLC was formally announced by Steven L. Sanders, FSA Chief Information Officer. The complete announcement can be viewed here: FSA NITC Mainframe SDLC Formal Release. 

System 36 SDLC 

The System 36 SDLC consists of the standards used by ITSD in defining the requirements for user interface with a SCOAP (State and County Office Automation Project) application. It includes analysis, design, programming, testing, and security standards for SCOAP automated systems development. Refer to the SCOAP Application Development Standards 29-ADM for more information.
