North Carolina

Welcome to North Carolina

Welcome to the North Carolina Farm Service Agency (FSA) website. It is our hope that you find the information beneficial to your work in developing and growing your farms and ranches.

The FSA serves all farmers, ranchers and agricultural partners through the delivery of effective, efficient agricultural programs for all Americans. That is important in a state like North Carolina that is at the forefront of delivering food and fiber for not only the nation, but the world. The programs provide NC’s 51,000 agricultural operations with the ability to lead in many commodities. As of 2015, agriculture and agribusiness made up for almost 17% of North Carolina’s gross domestic product. That’s nearly $76 billion contributed by food, fiber and forestry industries. Those same industries account for approximately 663,200 of the NC’s four million employees.

The FSA delivered nearly $227.6 million in federal program payments and loans to North Carolina farmers and ranchers during fiscal year 2015. That includes commodity loans, program, conservation and disaster payments, as well as farm loan obligations. North Carolina agriculture benefits greatly from the tireless efforts of our dedicated employees and locally elected County Committees. Please explore the website to learn about our programs and then contact the staff in the local county office to take advantage of our many programs. We look forward to your call or visit.

Thank you
