The OCC’s Economics Department supports the agency and its mission through bank-specific supervision, current economic analysis, development, analysis, and implementation of policy, and original research to develop and apply quantitative methods in economics and finance. The department is divided into three functional areas:
  • Economic & Policy Analysis staff use quantitative methods to monitor banking and financial market conditions, analyze banking regulations, and ensure that banks comply with laws and regulations. Learn more about the Economic & Policy Analysis divisions.
