Annual Report
DOL has released its FY 2017 Annual Report to Congress. In FY 2017 (October 1, 2016 - September 30, 2017), an estimated 94,017 workers became eligible for TAA benefits and services and 43,615 participants received services. Over 63 percent of TAA participants that exited the program received training, and over 89 percent of those who completed training received a credential. See the full report here.

On June 5, 2017, the United States International Trade Commission (the Commission) received an amended and properly filed petition for import relief pursuant to Section 202 of the Trade Act of 1974 (the Act) (19 U.S.C. § 2252) to determine whether large residential washers (LRWs) are being imported into the United States in such increased quantities as to be a substantial cause of serious injury, or the threat thereof, to the domestic industry producing an article like or directly competitive with the imported articles.
