GSA's Open Government Initiatives
The United State’s Open Government Directive instructs all federal agencies to actively open their operations to the public. GSA’s efforts are rooted in three principles at the heart of the directive: Transparency, Participation, and Collaboration.
FEATURED INITIATIVES
Challenge.gov is a government-wide challenge platform that facilitates innovation through challenges and prizes and enables the public to find all federal government challenge opportunities in one place, to learn about them in easy, creative ways, and to be notified of new challenges.
The home of the U.S. Government’s open data, which increases public access to high-value government datasets, providing data, tools, and resources to conduct research, develop web and mobile applications, and design data visualizations.
GSA's work in using digital technology to advance open government and the Digital Government Strategy is accessible on www.digitalgov.gov
Consumers can download, for free, important information on health, benefits, managing finances and more through a program with Google books.

An open, collaborative online community for connecting, communicating, learning and engaging across GSA topics. Its goal is to help increase government’s effectiveness through better communication and collaboration.

Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System (FAPIIS)
The Office of Inspector General at GSA established a website that helps to track down records of state suspensions and departments. It is a great resource for the public, as well as federal contracting officers who are charged with checking the responsibility records of federal contractors. This system closely mirrors Project on Government Oversight’s Federal Contractor Misconduct Database — a centralized database of contract and non-contract related misconduct. Learn more >

STRATEGIC SUSTAINABILITY PERFORMANCE PLAN
Sustainability is one of GSA’s key priorities. GSA incorporates sustainability into its budget, planning, and performance management processes and understands that sustainability can significantly improve our bottom line.
