Relocation of Baltimore-area Agencies into Federal Space Saves Over $1 Million Annually
GSA successfully completed the relocation of six federal agencies from leased space to the George H. Fallon Federal Building and Edward A. Garmatz U.S. Courthouse in Baltimore, Maryland. The move reduces the federal footprint by nearly 15,000 square feet, refilled vacant federal space, and saves the government over $1.5 million annually in lease cost avoidance.
Groundbreaking for New U.S. Courthouse in Harrisburg
Over 120 people attended the June 25 groundbreaking ceremony for a new 243,000 gross square foot courthouse for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. With a site spanning approximately four acres, the new courthouse will provide eight courtrooms, 11 chambers and 42 indoor parking spaces. The new facility will also house offices for the U.S. Court Library, the U.S. Marshals Service, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Trustee Program.
