DFC Renovation Projects

Take a look at some the most recent "space lifts" at the Denver Federal Center.

Click the drop down box in the top left video window to select a specific video. Video/project descriptions are provided below.

Glass Wall shows office space that was converted from cinder block interior and exterior dividing walls to an open floor plan with an exterior full height glass wall, allowing natural daylight to come into the space and through the space.

Clouds shows office space that was converted from a former high ceiling conference room to an open floor plan. The "clouds" are for sound baffling. Also note the transom windows that allow natural daylight to flow through the space.

Modernizing Deep Floor Plates shows how even in a large footprint, reduced cubicle heights and fewer hard walls allow natural light to filter into the space. The video also shows a multi-purpose conference center with kitchenette.

Strategic Placement of Interior Walls reflects how moving the hard walled offices and conference rooms into the center of the space allows everyone to benefit from the natural daylight. Another note is that many glass walls/dividers were utilized to allow more natural daylight to come into the space.

Flexible, Collaborative Environment reflects space that was designed to showcase several types of space from collaborative to quiet zones. This space highlights multiple types of seating options in "neighborhoods" which allow for the various types of work environments. It also provides maximum flexibility for employees to move to various environments throughout the day.
