USDA Launches MARS, Delivering Market Data to Agricultural Producers Around the Globe Faster and Easier

WASHINGTON, Jan. 31, 2018 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced the launch of a new electronic data platform to deliver market price information to the commodities industry. The new web-based platform, Market Analysis and Reporting Services (MARS), uses state-of-the-art technology to present detailed data sets in a more customer-focused way to better support competitive markets for producers and help stabilize food prices for American families.

USDA Proposes New Form for Processed Egg Export Verification Program; Invites Public Comments

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) intends to request approval for a new information collection form for the Processed Egg and Egg Products Export Verification (PEEPEV) Program from the Office of Management and Budget.

USDA Amends Regulations Governing the Voluntary Grading of Shell Eggs

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has amended the Regulations Governing the Voluntary Grading of Shell Eggs to align them with recommendations made in the 2012 USDA Office of Inspector General (OIG) Audit Report, USDA Controls Over Shell Egg Inspections.  The amendments clarify the definition of “condition” and update prerequisite requirements for shell eggs eligible for voluntary grading and certification.
