How do I check the status of my FAFSA?

To check the status of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), click Log In on the FAFSA on the Web home page to log in; your FAFSA status can be found on the "My FAFSA" page, which displays immediately after you log in if you have already started or completed a FAFSA.

To check on the status of financial aid being disbursed to you or your account, check with the financial aid office at your college.

Note: If you submitted a paper FAFSA, you can check the status of your application after it has been processed (roughly 7-10 days from the date mailed).
