CBP Discipline Overview Fiscal Years 2016 and 2017

The FY 2016-17 Discipline Overview includes comprehensive statistical analysis of disciplinary actions applied to CBP employees from FY 2016 to FY 2017, compared to FY 2015 data, with specific sections addressing:

  • Disciplinary Breakdown by Program Office;
  • CBP Information Center;
  • Employee Arrests;
  • Drug-Free Workplace;
  • Use of Force Allegations; and,
  • Mandatory Removals of Law Enforcement Officers.

Employee Misconduct and Corruption Statistics FY 2016 and FY 2017

Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) offers the following report for Fiscal Years 2016 and 2017 as well as an overview of key statistics regarding misconduct and corruption. The purpose of this report is to increase transparency and awareness of CBP’s efforts to prevent, detect, and investigate misconduct and corruption among CBP employees and to highlight examples of the breadth and depth of work OPR does on behalf of the entire CBP workforce.

CBP Trade and Travel Report Fiscal Year 2017

In fiscal year 2017, CBP saw continued growth in international travel and trade—processing more foreign nationals and cargo at U.S. ports of entry than in FY2016

CBP Border Security Report Fiscal Year 2017

This report summarizes CBP’s fiscal year 2017 border enforcement efforts, which reflect CBP’s focus on counterterrorism, countering transnational organized crime, and border security.

CBP Border Enforcement Statistics

The Border Enforcement Statistics page provides data on apprehensions, admissibility, recidivism, and arrests of criminal aliens at the border. Information on this page will be expanded to include seizures of drugs, currency, and prohibited agriculture products in the coming months.

Southwest Border Migration

U.S. Customs and Border Protection continues to see increases in migration along the Southwest Border during fiscal year 2017. This includes family units and unaccompanied children from Central America, Haitian nationals migrating from Brazil, and Cuban nationals.

CBP Use Of Force

This report summarizes CBP’s Use of Force statistics, which reflect CBP’s focus on transparency and continued efforts to adapt to the evolving nature of our border environment.
