Take the 45-minute U.S. Capitol Tour. Before your tour, you’ll see the brief orientation film, “Out of Many, One,” which describes how we come together as a nation to govern ourselves.
Visit Exhibition Hall, the only exhibition in the world dedicated to telling the story of the U.S. Congress and the building of the Capitol. Located on the lower level of the Capitol Visitor Center, Exhibition Hall features original and rarely seen documents and artifacts, videos, touchable models, and computer interactives.

Stop by the Visitor Galleries of the chambers of the House of Representatives and the Senate. If Congress is in session, you might see legislative history being made! Passes are required and may be obtained from your Representative or Senators. International visitors may inquire about passes at the House or Senate Appointment Desks in the Capitol Visitor Center.

Accessibility
Visitors may request wheelchairs from any Capitol Visitor Center staff wearing red vests or jackets or at one of the Coat Check stations just inside the main entrance. A non-passport photo ID is needed to borrow a wheelchair. The Coat Check station closes at 4:15 p.m. each day.
Listening devices with audio descriptions of the films and exhibition in English are available at the Information Desks. All films have open captioning in English.
Capitol Visitor Center brochures are available in Braille, large print and html formats at the Information Desks in Emancipation Hall.
