Accessibility

On DisasterAssistance.gov, we aim to make all content and functions of our website accessible to people with disabilities. We do this by working to meet or exceed the amended standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. § 794(d)). These standards measure how we comply within the law.

Under Section 508, all federal agencies must provide people with disabilities access to their electronic information. This must equal the access of those without disabilities. You can visit the Section508.gov website to learn more about how the standards are used.
