Healthy People 2020 – Healthy People is a national health promotion and disease prevention initiative that brings together national, state, and local government agencies; nonprofit, voluntary, and professional organizations, businesses, communities; and individuals to address major public health issues. The report Healthy People 2020, released by the Department of Health and Human Services on December 2, 2010, is the latest science-based, 10-year national objective plan developed that serves as a roadmap for improving the nation’s health.

United States Department of Agriculture WIC Breastfeeding Support – The USDA’s WIC Breastfeeding Support website includes resources for expectant and current mothers about breastfeeding, overcoming common challenges, and thriving to make breastfeeding work for their families.

United States Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) – The mission of the USBC is to improve the nation’s health by working collaboratively to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding.
