OIG Budget
OIG's FY 2019 budget requests a total of $387.5 million to provide oversight of HHS programs. With these resources, OIG is charged with overseeing nearly $1 trillion dollars in HHS spending, which represents approximately a quarter of every Federal dollar spent, covering programs ranging from health insurance to clinical research and epidemiology, public health services, and education.
