The license you grant includes, but is not limited to, the right to use your name, biographical history, hometown information, other personal information, likeness, voice, any images transmitted, and other information or materials you transmit during or in connection with the Recording and Content (the “Information”). 

The license you grant is irrevocable and valid in perpetuity, throughout the world, and in all forms of media (including, but not limited to publications, television, web pages, video, social media, advertising, and other promotional materials).  The U.S. Government may transfer the license to third parties in order to publish or post the Content. 

The U.S. Government shall own all right, title, and interest in the Recording and Content and all results from your submission of Content or appearance therein. 

You waive any right to inspect or approve any Content or edited, composite or derivative works made from Content (including those which may contain your Information) before use.  You are not entitled to any prior notice before the U.S. Government uses Content or Information.  You are not entitled to any compensation for Content.

You understand that third parties may release Content or your Information as a result of their publication by the U.S. Government.  You release the U.S. Government from any claims resulting from third-party use of Content or Information. 

You solely bear all responsibility for all Content.  Freely providing Content via this website does not grant you or those referenced therein any immunity from resulting action or other reprisals stemming from impermissible, illegal, or otherwise improper actions referenced in the Content.  

You should not post any confidential information, personally identifiable information, any information identifying third parties, any information that you do not wish to become public, or any information regarding minor children.  

Submissions are not continuously monitored and this website is not a means to contact law enforcement, rescue services, or otherwise engage emergency services.  It should not be used to report emergencies or other similar items.  Please call your local emergency services to report dangers to life or property.

You expressly represent and agree that the Content you submit is your sole intellectual property and work product.  In so doing, you expressly represent and agree that you are the sole creator of such Content, that it does not include the intellectual property of another person or entity, and that you understand and freely grant the U.S. Government the license to the Content. 

You understand that Content may not be altered or deleted by you after submission. You further understand that your submission may be subject to the Federal Records Act and/or the Presidential Records Act and may be subject to public release according to those statutes.  

You release, indemnify, hold harmless, and forever discharge the U.S. Government, and its officers, employees, and agents, from any claims, damages, causes of action, expenses, demands, damages, or liability that You, your heirs, representatives, executors, or any other persons acting on your behalf, may have in connection with the Recording, Content, your Information, or your participation in this project. 

You represent that you are a United States Citizen or lawfully admitted Permanent Resident at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your state), are freely accepting the terms of this release and are competent to sign this release.  You have read the release before signing and fully understand the content, meaning, and impact of this release.
