Access Stand Down this Saturday

- Your VA has created a new “intent to file process” for Veterans and survivors who intend to file a claim for VA compensation, pension, or survivors’ benefits but need additional time to gather all of their information.

Military Sexual Trauma Health Care

Hydrocodone Prescription Changes
- Veterans taking hydrocodone combination products need to know that the Drug Enforcement Agency has now moved this pain reliever into the Schedule II medicine category. Pharmacies will more strictly control this medicine.

Stroke and Sleep Apnea
- As a result of a research study at Indianapolis VAMC, it was learned that patients with strokes have a very high rate of sleep apnea, and the traditional methods of screening for sleep apnea are not useful. Read more.

- Veterans, employees, and guests are invited to participate in the VA2K Walk & Roll on Wed May 21 anytime from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to promote employee fitness and support homeless Veterans.
VetLink Makes Check-in Easier
- In June, Veterans will have an easier way to check in for their appointments. Your Indianapolis VA medical center is installing VetLink kiosks at clinic (and other support) locations.
