Ohio Tech Internship

Purpose

The Ohio Tech Internship has three main goals:

  • Increase the interest of underserved minority and rural student populations in entrepreneurship through education and internship opportunities.
  • Provide early-stage technology companies with talent to help them grow and prosper.
  • Foster a greater connection between Ohio's higher education system and its entrepreneurial technology economy.

Program

The Ohio Tech Internship connects motivated college students with internship opportunities in early-stage technology companies across Ohio. The Program provides eligible businesses with up to $10,000 to support each internship position, and assists in identifying potential intern candidates.

For Whom

Students: Students pursuing an associates, bachelors, masters or doctorate degree at an Ohio-based institution, or Ohio residents pursuing an associates, bachelors, masters or doctorate degree at an out-of-state institution.

Businesses: Companies with 75 or fewer employees, less than 7 years of operating history, and a primary business focus in one of the Ohio Third Frontier Focus Areas, including Medical Technology and Software. Additional evaluation criteria will be applied during the review process.
