Modernizing our transportation system is vital to the economic growth of not only of Orange County, but to the entire nation. I have made improvements along the rail corridor in Placentia, Fullerton and Anaheim one of my transportation priorities. 

Additionally, I recently led a letter to the Department of Transportation (DOT) supporting FASTLANE applications for Southern California freight and highway projects. DOT announced a new discretionary grant program, Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA). INFRA improves an existing grant program established in the FAST Act, and utilizes updated criteria to evaluate projects that align national and regional economic vitality and leverage more non-federal funding.

I also signed the Southern California Delegation’s INFRA Grant support letter for the Alameda Corridor-East (ACE) Trade Corridor projects. He also signed support letters on behalf of the OCTA for Caltrans’ INFRA grant program, including the 57/60 Confluence project, and the City of Placentia’s for a TIGER grant to fund its Transit Oriented District & Old Town Multi-Modal Infrastructure Project.
