It hasn’t even been 3 weeks and 2 children have died in CBP custody at the border. Keeping the family of Felipe Alónzo-Gomez in my prayers.
CBP is now conducting secondary medical checks and looking for medical help from the Coast Guard, Department of Defense, etc—but we can’t wait for another tragedy to happen. The Trump Administration and Border Patrol need to make serious changes and deliver a full report on what went wrong.
