WASHINGTON – Earlier this week, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) attended the Missouri Farm Bureau Annual Meeting, where he received the Friend of Farm Bureau award for his work supporting Missouri farmers and the agriculture community. Blunt released the following statement after receiving the award:

“As the son of dairy farmers, I know firsthand how hard our farmers work to feed and fuel the world. Given our unique location as a hub for the nation’s highways, railways, and waterways, Missouri is well-positioned to continue expanding our role as a global ag leader. To take advantage of the opportunities ahead, we must have an effective and sustained federal farm policy. I always appreciate the input the Farm Bureau provides when it comes to making sure we have the right policies in place to support continued growth in the ag industry. I’m honored to receive this award, and grateful for the opportunity to represent Missouri’s farm families in the Senate.”
