50th Vietnam War Veterans Commemoration

The 2008 National Defense Authorization Act authorized a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War to honor and highlight the service of members of the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War. U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor is proud to serve as a Commemorative Partner to thank and honor Vietnam Veterans and their families of Florida’s 14th Congressional District. More than 100 veterans have been honored since U.S. Rep. Castor’s first commemoration ceremony. Tampa Bay area Veterans and families who wish to participate in this commemoration should complete the information found here

U.S. Rep. Castor’s most recent Vietnam War Veterans 50th Commemoration was held at MacDill Air Force Base and honored more than 20 of our community’s Vietnam War-era veterans. U.S. Rep. Castor’s first commemoration ceremony in 2017 was chronicled in the Tampa Bay Times, including a profile of bravery of one of the veterans being honored, which can be seen here.
